Services: Infants + Pediatric

Infancy and early childhood are periods of rapid growth and neurological development. Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, noninvasive approach that may be used as supportive, complementary care to promote comfort, regulation, and ease of movement in infants and children.

CST is not a replacement for pediatric medical care, but may be used alongside pediatricians, physical and occupational therapists, lactation consultants, and other healthcare providers.

  • Birth and early development place unique demands on an infant’s body and nervous system. Craniosacral therapy supports infants by gently addressing areas of tension and nervous system regulation.

Common Reasons Families Seek CST for Infants

    Feeding & Oral Tension

    • Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding challenges

    • Latch difficulties

    • Jaw, facial, or neck tension

CST is typically used alongside lactation support and medical guidance.

    Comfort & Regulation

    • Excessive crying or difficulty soothing

    • Colic-like symptoms

    • Sleep regulation challenges

Many parents report improved relaxation and settling.

    Postural & Movement Patterns

    • Torticollis (head or neck preference)

    • Mild asymmetries in movement or posture

    • Positional head shape concerns (in conjunction with medical guidance)

    Support After Birth

    • Assisted or prolonged labor

    • Cesarean birth

    • Early feeding or positioning challenges

  • As children become more mobile and independent, their bodies and nervous systems continue to adapt to new physical, emotional, and sensory demands. Craniosacral therapy may be used as gentle support during these developmental stages.

Common Reasons Families Seek CST for Toddlers & Children

    Nervous System & Emotional Regulation

    • Have difficulty calming or transitioning

    • Experience frequent meltdowns or heightened emotional responses

    • Show signs of nervous system overload

    Sensory Processing & Body Awareness

    • Sensory sensitivities

    • Difficulty with body awareness or coordination

CST is often used alongside occupational therapy or other developmental supports.

    Postural & Movement Support

    • Mild postural asymmetries

    • Habitual tension patterns in the neck, shoulders, or jaw

    • Coordination challenges

    Headaches, Jaw & Tension Patterns

    • Tension-related headaches

    • Jaw clenching or teeth grinding

    Recovery & Transitions

    • Recovery from falls or injuries

    • Periods of rapid growth

    • Transitions such as starting daycare or school

  • What to Expect

    Pediatric craniosacral therapy sessions are:

    • Gentle, calm, and noninvasive

    • Adapted to the child’s age, development, and comfort level

    • Flexible, allowing movement, play, or parent involvement as needed

Sessions are designed to feel safe and supportive for both the child and caregiver.

    Safety & Collaborative Care

Craniosacral therapy is generally considered low risk when provided by a practitioner trained in pediatric care. CST should never replace pediatric evaluation or treatment.

I encourage families to maintain ongoing care with their pediatrician and to coordinate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, lactation consultants, or other specialists when appropriate.

    My Approach

I provide gentle, developmentally appropriate care for infants, toddlers, and children. I prioritize collaboration, safety, and family-centered care to support each child’s comfort, regulation, and overall well-being.
